Fratelli Pinna

Fratelli Pinna

The Fratelli Pinna farm was born around the 40s, and since then it has been producing great oils without squeezing nature. It has always chosen to invest in quality and respect for agronomic and processing practices that enhance the characteristics of the raw materials. The olive groves of the entire property, located in Sardinia between Sassari and Ittiri, are characterized by a hilly slope and a clayey soil with a substrate of basalt rocks.
The centuries-old olive trees arise in the locality of Prato Comunale: here the vast majority of the plants belong to the Bosana variety of olives. In this same estate there is the oil mill and the laboratory for the production of vegetables in oil.
In the fields of Ochila, on the other hand, mainly vegetables (artichokes, asparagus, aubergines and tomatoes) and a small vineyard are grown.
Much of the production process is powered by the sun and olives to have the least impact on nature:
- the pits of the olives are recycled to extract energy which is added to that supplied by photovoltaic systems.
- the two-phase oil mill extracts the oil using the vegetable water contained in the olives, without any use of external water resources.
In this way extra virgin olive oils are born, all characterized by specific and unmistakable organoleptic properties.
With the same obsequious approach and with the same qualitative results are produced in oil and wines Àgale (Vermentino di Sardegna PDO) and Okila (Cannonau di Sardegna PDO): all natural, authentically Sardinian, produced in full respect of the earth. .
