Marvulli

Marvulli

The Vincenzo Marvulli farm was founded in 1960 when Vincenzo Marvulli, a young professor from Altamura, invested his marriage dowry in the purchase of rugged and rocky land near the city of Matera, in Basilicata. Those stones represent the ideal habitat for the olive tree and in particular for some local olive cultivars such as Ogliarola del Bradano and Coratina. The enhancement over time of those olive trees that benefit from particularly favorable environmental conditions has made it possible in more than 60 years to never have to use fertilizers or pesticides.
