In Sicily, the production of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Titone, an oil of excellent quality, natural and very good, has remote origins: from 1936 in a strip of land between Marsala and Trapani. The cultivation of olive trees in this area has very ancient origins and has recently been recognized by the PDO Valli Trapanesi. All the olive groves of Titone PDO are within this area. In 1992, Titone goes to the organic agriculture, among the very first company in Sicily with checks over all stages of production of olives and processing of extra virgin olive oil. The olives Nocellara of Belice, Cerasuola, Biancolilla are hand picked from the beginning of October and are immediately crushed in the mill owned business. The monocultivar oils manufactured are stored under nitrogen for maximum conservation of the oil in stainless steel silos. After numerous checks with chemical analysis samples are then mixed together to produce both the Titone PDO Extra Virgin Organic Valley Trapanesi and the Extra Virgin Organic Titone.
